Young But Stacking
Young But Stacking is a local jackboy/rapper clique originating from low income neighborhoods and EBCHA developments all around East Brickton. Notable members of YBS are "YBS Grimeyy", "YBS ManMan", and "YBS Jaymo", these three members are considered the bread winners as they dabble into the idea of getting into the music business by rapping.
Formation/Operations
Members of YBS are mainly known for being a group of thieves and rappers, commonly known for stealing keystones, firearms, burgling homes, as well as armed robbery and fraud. YBS was formed in 2016 by around 10 different teenagers, around then they were just teens trying to make it by constantly recording songs off of phones and in closet studios. On the side, YBS Grimeyy and a few other affiliates got involved in dealing Bloxrr and Bubble Blowers. The plan was to keep selling drugs so that the group could afford official studio time, this quickly stormed the group and a few members got addicted to the money and lifestyle fast. One of these members was YBS Grimeyy, Grimeyy AKA Marcus Sheppard has been arrested multiple times over the years but was still addicted to the lifestyle. Even with all the street influence, no YBS members were officially affiliated with any cards. Now affiliates obviously had ties due to their environment but never official affiliation, although this didn't stop gangs from being upset with the YBS members taking business.
The Jason Thompson Incident of 2019
On the night of September 23, 2019 a shootout occurred outside the Broadway Towers which left an 18-Year old Jason Thompson deceased. The shooter was later found after Kentrell Flowers was caught with the murder weapon after being stopped by police in the Langfield neighborhood. Kentrell was a member of YBS, the beef with Jason Thompson dates back months before the shooting. Jason was apart of a local street gang that made several attempts to stop YBS members from dealing on the streets, it was rumored that YBS Grimeyy had been robbed by Jason just 2 weeks before his murder. Kentrell was given 26 years for the murder and another 18 years after the EBPD raided his home and found illegal firearms, narcotics, and large amounts of money. YBS members are constantly seen saying "Free Trelly" on social media and even in songs.
Present Day
As of recent times, YBS affiliates have become more involved in fraud and violent crime, some stepping up their focus on music. The group stays out of gang related beef after the 2019 incident, members are still seen today screaming Free Trelly. Members are still active in the street life which pulls a small divide within the group as the rest of the affiliates are more focused on getting out of the hood while the others still actively commit crimes putting all of YBS at risk.
