Growing up in East Brickton, where life was tough and unpredictable, David Carter, also known as Blokk17Baby, previously known as d!d, stood out with his fierce determination. Raised in an Italian family with modest means, David got into a lot of fights in high school, which eventually led to him getting kicked out.
His love for rap music burned bright, and at the age of 17, he caught a break when he signed a deal with Dwayne Carter's DC Enterprises after seeing an ad. However, things took a mysterious turn, and he found himself let go from the contract. Despite this setback, he shifted gears and became the head designer for the DC clothing brand, DCTA.
In a stroke of luck, David crossed paths with Cutthroat Durk, a rapper also known as Durk Porter. Together, they launched Morphine Records, aiming to make a mark in the rap scene. However, when DC Enterprises made a comeback, David faced a tough decision, ultimately leading to the closure of Morphine Records.
Back at DC Enterprises, David's journey took unexpected turns due to undisclosed reasons. Undeterred, he joined forces with Durk again, this time at Cutthroat Records, but David wanted to emergeas the boss for the first time in his life.
Taking the reins, Blokk17Baby founded RT4L (Risk Takers for Life) Records, closing a tumultuous chapter. The beats of RT4L Records echoed through the streets, signaling a new beginning. Would this label become the biggest in the game? Blokk17Baby's story was far from over, leaving the music world eagerly anticipating the next notes of his journey. To be continued...
