KrazyMob XIII
KrazyMob is a strict Hispanic street gang operating under the Sureno (EME) card, affiliates operate on the low income Groove Street area just outside the inner city. Due to their Sureno identification they are connected to the county jails and prisons in which their shot-callers/leaders are located.
Formation/Origins
The name "KrazyMob" dates back to a late member by the name of Miguel "Krazy" Delgado. Krazy was a notable member and often seen as a leader to younger affiliates and upcomers, he had been around since the formation of the gang in 1996 and later passed in 2015 after being shot several times outside a local fast food restaurant while waiting in a drive thru. The story dates back to 1996 where a group of young adults came together to form "Groover Trece" after an elder Sureno shot-caller from the state prison OK'd the idea. For several years the gang began organizing itself and recruiting new affiliates into the ranks, and as time went on the trouble with the local police and neighboring sets became more and more of an issue. The set saw it's first conflict in 2002 after members from another set decided to jump and snatch the chain of a younger affiliate. To get back at them, multiple Groover Trece went out searching for the rival members that carried out the robbery. After only a few hours of searching the affiliates found the rival members by the local laundry mat, the Groover Trece members confronted the males before ultimately leading into a brawl where at some point a gun went off and one of the rival gang affiliates were deceased. This altercation would become a huge impact on the Groover Trece set as local authorities learned of the shooting and later identified the shooter as a high standing affiliate, Jose Chavez. A string of arrests soon took place incarcerating four highly respected members, one of which would ultimately sell out his fellow affiliates leaving all of them to be sentenced to life in prison.
Cuenta Scandal
Among the four arrested on the murder of a rival affiliate was Enrique Vasquez known for his stage name "Lil Cuenta". Enrique was considered the breadwinner of the set due to his popularity in the music scene with singles such as "K.O" and "Grooveside Freestyle". Enrique was also the victim of the chain snatching that lead up to the shooting landing him in prison, he was rumored to be chilling by a local deli when the rival members confronted him and eventually jumped him where they snatched the chain from Enrique's neck. Upon telling his affiliates, Enrique and the other three involved in the laundry mat shooting were mobile in under an hour looking for the rivals. Shortly they found them where the story continues and leaves one of the rival's dead. Upon being brought in for questioning on the altercation however, Enrique allegedly told the lead investigating officer everything that occurred that night even name dropping Jose Chavez who was the shooter. It didn't take long for the word to be relayed back to the other affiliates and higher ups that Cuenta had snitched, this was followed with Enrique Vasquez being stabbed multiple times while walking to the county jail cafeteria where he was pronounced dead. Even though Cuenta wasn't able to testify, the other three affiliates were handed life sentences.
Death of Krazy/Present Day
Shortly after the incarceration of all the real ball players and breadwinners, a new "leader" was needed desperately to guide the set on the outside along with its younger affiliates. Around 2004, Krazy was elected as the new leader due to his seniority, fairness, and overall respect and notoriety amongst the rest of the set. Many feuds ensued over the years of his reign which lead to his ultimate demise, or at least that's one of the rumors. The killer of Krazy was never revealed and to this day it remains a mystery, many rumors have spread about the shooter being a rival gang member looking for revenge but it has also been speculated the the killing was ordered from the prisons due to Krazy refusing to carry out certain orders. The shooting occurred on a summer night in the local Fuegoz drive thru, Krazy was waiting on his order when a black sedan pulled next to him and the shooter hung out the driver door window letting off 15 shots into Krazy's vehicle where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The death of Krazy was a heavy blow on the set, remaining affiliates came together to rename the set "KrazyMob" shortly after his death. Since the death of Krazy affiliates slowly loosened their structure, with younger affiliates adopting "Crash Out" mentalities. Nevertheless, the set enforces a strict policy on their block and holds a major hand in the drug ring around the city especially in the Groove Street area.
