091 Torchers
091 Torchers is the second generation of 091 MisfitTown which was a large set based in the shaffer village apartments around 1999-2015. The generation before the torchers were heavily involved in the drug trade of East Brickton and were also known for countless homicides across the city. The 091 Torchers came to be after a major power struggle on top of a RICO indictment wiped the first generation, young affiliates picked themselves up and came together to form the "Linden Torchers" this was the unofficial name until they came together once more to officially form "091 Torcher".
2015 INDICTMENT
The first generation of 091 was taken down by an indictment after the EBPD launched an investigation on their drug operation and several murders they had ties to. The murder that changed it all was the murder of Rico Waters, Rico AKA Sprint was a high ranking 091 affiliate who had been killed for unknown reasons by his OWN set. Rico's body was found afloat near the Brickton docks where he was found with several gunshot wounds to his chest and head. 2 days before EBPD carried out arrests on 091 affiliates however, they found something shocking.
DEATH OF DAMIEN COOPER/ORIGINS
Damien Cooper AKA Capo was the founder of 091 alongside his longtime friend Trent De La Cruz. Before 091 had blew up and became big, Trent had been killed in the Comstock neighborhood by a GD set in the area. This made 091 adopt a GDK name, even though they were not affiliated with any other gang organization. Damien took 091 to the next level, introducing over 40 affiliates to his idea and allying with other sets in the city to establish customers for large amounts of drugs. This empire he had created all came to shambles when an affiliate by the name of Bear had been arrested for the murder of a rising basketball star out of the city. Upon further investigation they found out that Bear was a high ranked member in the 091 MisfitTown organization and they started interrogating him, Bear then snitched on the entirety of the set. The same day Bear had snitched would also be the day that Damien Cooper met his demise. Damien was lured into an abandoned apartment by one of his power hungry affiliates where he was shot several times in his face making him unrecognizable. 2 days after the murder of Damien, the EBPD started kicking doors indicting 23 affiliates of 091.
Current Day and Operations
Nowadays affiliates are seen as reckless and less structured but the OGs from the first generation still run the set from the county jails and state prisons, the original higher ups from 091 are called the "Inner Circle" which includes 6-7 OGs who decide who gets to run the set on the outside. The inner circle decide the "Huncho", which is considered the top of the top member AKA the leader. The set still has a hand in the drug rink and very much so has a hand in other crimes including murder, armed robbery, burglary, etc. Members can be seen in the Shaffer Village Apartments or as they refer to it, Capo City or T Block (Honoring Damien Cooper and Trent De La Cruz).
