RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
The East Brickton RoE (Rules of Engagement ) are rules which are set in place to balance conflict between illegal factions. If you’re expect to create or participate in a faction, it would be wise to read and understand these rules. Any breaking of these rules within faction engagement could potentially lead to strikes or a potential archive judging by the amount of strikes you have.
First Encounters & Basic Conflict: Factions should always carry out their first encounters realistically, this prevents any OOC problems from occurring. If this is your faction's first or second day, you should not be picking a fight with another faction. All encounters should be logged in your faction's discord with the format being handed to the IFM that is present. You shouldn't be aiming for a firefight on the first initial encounter with another faction, it should build up to that point. Unless a scenario enables for a shooting. For example, if the initiators outnumber the group that is being provoked, then it would be reasonable.
Example: Two EBGC members show up to a party uninvited, so the local blood members in the area decide to check them. In the heap of the argument, a brawl breaks out between both groups. From that day out, social media static and tension began to rise.
That is a reasonable and valid way to realistically carry out a faction's first encounter. But what would enable the use of a firearm? The example below perfectly explains the scenario that enables that.
Rising conflict & Player Kills (PKs): After the first encounter, many more will follow depending on how serious the conflict is. By this time factions should already have their hands on a few weapons. Whether that be melee or firearms.
Player kills are when a faction member is killed by a rival faction. Player kills are a result of conflict and should be logged inside your discord's attack or defense logs. If you're PK'd by a rival faction then you must abide by the rules for them.
When you're PK'd you are removed from the conflict, this doesn't mean that you cannot continue in your faction roleplay, but you're out of the current conflict. Don't worry, you can be re-involved in this conflict. If your death is voided or you're attacked then you're re-involved in the conflict, and you continue roleplaying against the rival faction. If you decide that you're going to attack the rival faction while being PK'd you will face immediate consequences. This could lead to your faction's strike or potential archive. if you're caught using another account to do PKs you will face more severe consequences.
Below you can see an example of how not to proceed after being PK'd.
Example: You get PK'd, and you decide that the kill they did on you was lame. So you decide to block wipe the entire faction. Your faction will face immediate consequences and be struck. As a result, IFM finds out and you end up costing your faction a strike, as it turns out they're on their last strike. You conclude their faction and end up getting them archived.
Example: But let's say, that if you're already PK'd and the rival faction has been planning to attack. They attack and you end up getting shot, at that point, you're again re-involved. You may shoot back right there.
ATTK Rules & Cooldowns: When attacking a rival faction, there are rules in place so that things flow realistically. Again, all attacks should be logged into your discord.
You should try and plan before your attacks. Mask up, plan an escape, and make sure everyone in the vehicle has combat experience ICLY. No more than three automatics can be used per attack. Attacking in broad daylight and without a mask puts you at high risk for a CA. (Character Arrest). Character arrest is a life sentence in the game, which can further disrupt your conflict and lead to an indictment.
After you do an attack on a rival faction please know that there is a 1 hour and 30 minute cooldown time. Within cooldown time, brawls are permitted. Please note, that in these brawls escalating to a shooting is not permitted. You're not allowed to chase after an enemy faction after the shooting is over. The fear of police catching up with you should loom over your head the entire time.
Please note, that block wiping is the ultimate last resort to an attack. Block wipes can also not be used as a first attack. If you're the attacking faction in the scenario then the cooldown is two hours, afterward. Even if the defending faction survives the attack and knocks off all your soldiers, the cooldown time still remains.
The car you use also matters, in the realistic scenario you're not using a fast expensive car. Cars such as the Vintage, Bootlegger, Keystone, Boxburg, and the Suburban are permitted. Using anything else can be perceived as FRP, which can also lead to a strike.
Example: Five members of R80's get word of a rival block party going down, so they use this as a perfect opportunity to up the score. Putting all their money together, they went a track hawk as a burner vehicle. After a morning of planning, they decide that enough time has passed and they're ready. Masking up, and pulling to the party they shoot as many rivals as they can. Quickly, they hopped in their car and pulled off.
