The Real Grooves also known as TRG,Are a multi racial street gang in and around the Groove area in East Brickton. Although not as large in numbers as other Multi Set Gang sets that have established themselves in various areas of East and West East Brickton ,TRG have earned a violent reputation due to an overwhelming influx of younger members willing to prove themselves to the gang.
The gang's structure is unclear to law enforcement officers due to a large operation in 2020 where eleven members of the gang were incarcerated after being found guilty of involvement in a drug trafficking ring around East Brickton, including the factual leader of the gang, Markel Holmes.
Over two hundred thousand dollars' worth of Bubble Blower and Bloxr were seized alongside firearms and counterfeit money. A large rise in crime was noticed by the EBPD in the following years after the bust, from home invasions, grand theft auto and armed robberies to homicides, some of which were committed by members as young as thirteen years old. And indictment was rumored to happen due to lack of evidence the case was thrown out.
The most common identifiers of members of the gang usually have a bolded TRG,or 14209 as that is the Groove zip blasted on different places on their body, most commonly the face, chest or back. They often use the same logo in their graffiti and gang signs. You would usually spot TRG affiliates wearing Blue Apparel of any kind including Black or bandanas.
The common attitude being that all other gangs are their enemy and go to extreme lengths to defend themselves due to their smaller numbers. Random civilians are sometimes even brought into the mix if they are being mistaken for rival gang members.
The Real Grooves primarily operate along Groove. They are skeptical of everyone who hangs around in their hood and have been known to use violence to make unwanted people leave. Many of their younger members work there as well. They strive to make their neighborhood as safe as possible for all residents
These teens are involved in "small time" crimes such as drug distribution, robbery and assault, they do not hesitate to commit them. While TRG's crimes that will lead to their come up. This reckless mindset has led to two young members aged 19 and 22, to be arrested for 18.5 and 14 years. This has had long-lasting effects on the group, they move in silence now and plan anything they wish to achieve, as a group. The sentencing on the two members now leads TRG to hate the EBPD and hurl insults towards Officers, or act aggressively towards the Officers while on a social media video/recording.
