Linden Drive
In the 1970s and early 1980s, Linden Drive was a neighborhood known for peace quiet. It was the kind of neighborhood where families could live in harmony but it quickly changed when a wave of immigrants came to East Brickton for a better opportunity, particularly Mexicans. Linden Drive was heavily impacted by poverty in the 1980s. After this, the crime rates were constantly increasing in this neighborhood and many people were affected by unemployment but the Mexican community in Liden Drive was even more affected which led many young teenagers to commit crimes such as drug trafficking, racketeering, theft and burglary. Small groups of young teenagers began to form to protect themselves from the Black and White gangs, but it was more a question of who would have more territory and who would control Linden Drive. It's the kind of factor that would create conflict between groups and would lead these conflicts to violence. In 2032 a video leaked on social networks where we could see a young teenager being killed by two masked men. The video went viral and got many views, it could even be found on youtube. Investigators began to look for the perpetrator of the crime, but they had no answer. Rumor had it that it was duo gang violence, which makes more sense because gang activity has occurred in the area.
Linden Drive Varrio XIII
Linden Drive Varrio XIII is a predominantly Mexican-American street gang that is controlled by the Mexican mafia aka La EmE. They originally were called Artists In Making (a tagging crew) but in the early 90s La EmE members from the west coast would travel to East Brickton spreading the 13s influence around the city. Multiple members from other Surenos sets moved to linden Drive and influenced AIM. They became ogs effectively and turned AIM into a street gang. In 1993 they renamed themself Linden Drive Varrio XIII which means 13 in Roman numerals. The ogs took over AIM to spread La EmEs influence and Linden Drive was a prime area. They recruited young teens from the neighborhood. Teens from 12-16 because they were more influential in drawing them into the gang.
Linden Drive deadliest gang war
Their main rivals were an African-American street based in Linden Drive, but they were disbanded by the EBPD in 2035. The conflict began when a member of XIII was caught tagging on their turf , the member was murdered the same day after being spotted by them. He was fatally shot in the head by a guy named Trayreeves (his real name was Tray Reeves), after this, a wave of reprisals took place in Linden Drive. The residents were so terrified that they were even afraid to go out because of the shootings that could be expected almost every day. Until the day their rival was disbanded by the EPD after they had a lot of evidence linking them to murders and members being arrested for drug dealing. It allowed the XIII to reclaim their territory without having to use violence.
New generation
Linden Drive Varrio XIII is still active, although it has lost many members as a duo of the gun violence or arrests that have taken place, residents said a new generation of Linden Drive Varrio XIII was made. Many teenagers were seen representing the gang on social media or spotted tagging the houses. There were several shootings in the Linden Drive area by this gang that controlled the area. According to residents, these were often young teenagers who were killed or young teenagers who killed each other for power. The situation began to get worse. More and more young teenagers were dying because of the shootings between gangs, often innocent people.
