ORIGINS
"East Brickton gang members charged in shootings, including one outside child’s birthday party"
East Brickton gang members were charged in a slew of shootings — including one outside a 6-year-old boy’s birthday party in East Brickton. The East Brickton Police Department said the six suspects, members, and associates of the city-based “Bamalife” gang, financed their violence through drug dealing and bank and unemployment fraud. According to an indictment “As alleged in the superseding indictment, the defendants wreaked havoc in the Lower end of East Brickton and nearby neighborhoods, with innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire as members of BamaLife carried out senseless violence directed against a rival gang." One of those terrifying instances involved suspect Tyshawn Sumpter, 28, when he opened fire outside a little boy’s birthday party at Shaffer Village Apartments, East Brickton. A member of the gang had gotten into an argument with a male at the party, and an armed Sumpter later laid in wait for the foe outside as people, including kids, were leaving, according to the indictment. The other men indicted on Tuesday were Trava, Selby, 27, Andrew Simpson, 24, Ronnie Warren, 25, and Corey Williams, 27. The crew is also facing murder conspiracy charges for trying to organize the death of rival gang members over the past seven years, according to the East Brickton Police Department. Warren even released a rap song in which he and his cohorts vowed they were going to kill an unknown rival and his girlfriend, the East Brickton Police Department says.
The war between 106 Langfield Hustlers and The Bamaz
The rivalry started when a group of Crips from Langfield, also know as 106 pulled up to Shaffer and exchanged words with The Bamaz which sparked a massive brawl. the Bamaz were outnumbered, one of the Bama affiliates let off warning shots, making everyone disperse. After the altercation, 106 would start to diss via social media.
The head honcho of the Bamaz, also known as JB, and 10 Bama affiliates would catch Trevon Kingston, leader of 106, standing alone on Langfield, They would kidnap Trevon, making him dance and continued to mock him by filming him say "106K" Shots would be heard from inside the Unit 1 Housing Complex of Shaffer. EBPD would arrive at the scene, finding Trevon in critical condition, suffering from gunshot wounds to the abdomen. A known Langfield resident named Jahmir Banks would seek to avenge Trevon by retaliating against the Bamaz. He could be seen on social media, posting at Shaffer with a firearm, taunting them to "come outside" Several hours later, JB was leaving his baby mama's place, when he was shot at 30 times by no other than Jahmir. JB exchanged fire with Jahmir, hitting him in the head and grazing his eye.
A few weeks later, 2 106 members, would try to avenge Jahmir. One of them being Jahmir's twin brother, Jahiem Banks, and another being Marcus Zhong. In a assassination-attempt gone wrong, CCTV footage shows Jahiem & Marcus being ambushed by 3 masked men. Their deaths would cause this feud to take a deadly turn, 106 had declared war and the killings didn't seem like they were going to slow down. A 106 member that goes by the name Coury Hopkins, was found found dead after being shot over 50 times. 7.62 shell casings were found at the scene, EBPD have since ruled the murder case as unsolved due to lack of witnesses. Not too long later, another 106 member, Jahiem Glover, was found dead inside the York condos after suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest. 106 would eventually retaliate by killing a Bama affiliate named Kendrick Briggs. The war would cease after 106 would go defunct due to the majority of their members being locked up or killed.
PRESENT DAY
Today The Bamaz (BamaLife) crew still operates in the Shaffer Village Apartments as the majority who resided in the Shaffer Village residents suffered from financial instability. The members of The Bamaz are known to stick together. The Bamaz knew the East Brickton Police Department were always watching, so they to keep a low profile and move in silence. Their main goal was also to protect the residents of the Shaffer Village Apartments, especially the mothers, as well as creating revenue to fund him the Once known brim set. As the murder rates in East Brickton continued to climb, Jah'keem, who went by "Dolo", advised everyone to keep a firearm on them. They weren't looking for allies or friends outside of themselves or anyone who they'd already established a good bond with. The EBPD quickly put together a medium-size raid squad after they had the evidence to convict six members, but this wasn't executed until later that year. A known case of a sixteen-year-old who had gunned down a supposed rival gang member had been linked to the BamaLife crew but the verdict of the case is still unsolved. The teenager had approached a 19-year-old on Linden drive, letting off several shots resulting from a heated confrontation. The seventeen-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene. The fourteen-year-old male had been taken into custody and rumors of the teenager's identity pointed to a friend of Lamar Thompson, but the teenagers name was never released due to him being a minor. The Bamaz had also made two known subsets to honor their fallen member kendrick, K Block a Makk Balla set as kendrick, Another subset that would be a known crip subset would join The Bamaz on Linden and name their selves Trouble-ville after a childhood friend that went by Trouble passed in a shooting at the club in East Brickton
The Multi set partake in mostly petty crimes such as fraud, scamming, and drug dealing. They’re known to be dangerous, as they feel no remorse in attacking or retaliating. The Bamaz are known to havea shoot-to-kill reputation, which is why the EBPD have conducted many sweeps for their violent behavior. It is rumored the East Brickton Police Department have at least seven members of The Bamaz on their watchlist, everyone on the watchlist is considered to be armed and dangerous. In the present day, The Bamaz have been involved in multiple crimes such as Assault, Robbery, Grand Theft Auto, and some say it went as far as murder. The Bamaz are known to have deadly beef with many local gangs who are located throughout East Brickton. Their end goal is make the neighborhood safe as possible and be known as the most feared and dominant set in the city of East Brickton.
