Backstory
The Langfield Maravilla originated as a small clique of teenagers and young adults on Broadway Avenue. Local street gangs such as "The Avenues" and "49 Asian Brims" fought over narcotic trade influence. Because of this, the racial divide in the area grew. Over time the small clique of young men grew more organized as the area got more violent, eventually the group was considered a semi-organized criminal organization (i.e a gang,) and they mobilized accross the entire Barrio District. The group were known as Broadway Maravilla at the time, and other factions in the area saw the group as a threat, which caused a full fledged war accross multiple groups in a small area.
The East Brickton Police Department (EBPD) began a plethora of investigations accross several high ranking members accross these street gangs, including one Enrique Castillo [20] which led the Maravilla operation. Intel was gathered on him and his men, and the police department began to plan raids on multiple safehouses in which they stayed in. Out of fear of being brought into custody, Enrique and many of his associates fled the city for many years, as the rest of Broadway would suffer yet another drug epidemic.
The Return to East Brickton
Police closed investiagtions and their gang specific case completely after most associates and high ranking members fled the city. Enrique caught wind of this so he discreetly returned to the city a little over 5 years into his hiatus. But unforunatley, his beloved Broadway Avenue in which he grew up in was in absolute ruin, and so, he knew he would have to make his money elsewhere.
Langfield Street harbors a great amount of crime which has seemed to go unnoticed due to its neighboring Broadway Avenue. Narcotic trade has still always been fresh in the area however, and Enrique along with his old friends saw it a suitable place to lead their operations. The young men which stayed together during their time away slowly began to set up in the area. As it turns out, the Latino population along Langfield was very high due to its history of criminal organizations in the area (PB-19, Hernandez Family, etc.) Young Latino locals as young as 13 years old took note of the new populous in the area, and were slowly introduced to the world of crime. Enrique took the teens into his wings, and would use them to do his dirty work and make his money.
Many shootings already took place in the area, as they had to fight for the influence that they desired. To this day this street gang has to deal with other cliques and criminal organizations in the area, mainly for narcotic trade influence. The group of men proudly took in the name of Langfield Maravilla as they were still considered to be under the Maravilla umbrella.
Operations
Taking advantage of East Bricktons history of drug distribution. The Langfield Maravilla puts a fair majority of its effort into the narcotic trade. High ranking members of the street gang has young teenagers sell the product for them, only letting them keep a small cut as money flows up the chain of command. The street gang uses its enforcers or "Soldado" to violently enforce their will if need be. Associates of the group can also be see in other sorts of rough crime, such as but not limited to, robbery, prostitution, illegal gambling, gun trafficking, vehicle theft, human trafficking, burglary, and more. So far only 2 men have been placed into police custody, yet no further investigations have begun due to them being fairly new to the city.
