The platoon DogSyde is an active African-American street gang, set in the Lower Westside of East Brickton. The members of the troupe linger around Military RD, the sanctuary for many of the members. For a couple of years now, this group of individuals have been terrorizing their community, making living conditions worse and worse as the years go by. With the Lower Westside being one of the most impoverished communities, the children of the neighborhood had no choice other than to succumb to the fast money, drugs, and guns to make a living and see fit. They're known for wearing the sportswear of the "Pittsburg Steelers", a Major League baseball team. The reasoning behind choosing this hat is the baseball team's insignia, is a big "S" on certain hats, representing the "S" in "DogSyde".
DogSyde originally started out as a clique of middle schoolers some who just hung around and smoked marijuana to escape from their lives at home, and others whom had true basketball aspirations. They all went to East Brickton High, beefing rival schools just for the fun of it. DogSyde was never supposed to take such a dramatic turn, hence the loss of their friend Dotti. He died after a fight broke out between DogSyde and one of the many rival schools they were at it with, he was stabbed in the midst of the fighting, he didn’t receive medical attention until it was to late. And with Military Road being such a small neighborhood word got around quick about what had happened, kids from the neighborhood started taking DogSyde serious, focusing their anger out onto the streets making a mess. Locals in the area referred to the kids as "wild dogs" which led to them using the name in their favor, using the "🐶" emoji as another way to represent themselves.
With the Lower Westside contributing to 65% of the crime rate in East Brickton, especially with the now over war between Cardenas City and the Broadway Asian Brims, it was fairly easy for the clique to make a name for themselves already being from one of the most dangerous burrows within the city. Being arrested for petty drug, and gun charges, the clique was on the come up, with their notorious street beef between Goodyear Gunnaz, one of the rival highschools the clique used to have conflict with from Yorkside High School and M. Smith High. After the death of Dotti all of their petty beefs resulted into deadly street beefs, turning DogSyde into what it is today.
