Glenn Tanaka was arrested in 2008 on a sexual assault charge and a manslaughter charge. During his time behind bars he got his sentence extended for assault with a deadly weapon. Before this, he was the leader of the Yakuza group the Tanaka Syndicate, this crew was governed by Glenn Tanaka and Jason Nakamura. Insiders who have interviewed Glenn behind bars discovered Jason has been his best friend since they met in childhood, Glenn was drowning and Jason saved him. So its believed Glenn brought Jason into the "life" so to speak.
During Glenn's early career, he was arrested for numerous crimes that built him a name around his crew. As a minor, he was arrested for X2 drug trafficking, attempted murder, and grievous bodily harm against a minor. Around 2006 Glenn Tanaka was clearly running the crew as the leader, several confidential informants have explained how whenever Glenn goes behind bars, Jason will run the crew, by his side, Jaylen Shimizu. Shimizu was described as a friendly man, he refers to his workers as "friends" and is very generous, and no member has ever witnessed a crime done by him. When Glenn Tanaka was arrested in 2008, Jason and Jaylen ran the crew for 15 years until Glenn's release.
Jason Nakamura and Nakamura-Kai
During Jason's rule he felt the power of being number one. He was telling everyone what to do and no one disagreed. The only one who could disagree to Jason or be straight up to him is Jaylen Shimizu. Jaylen is second in power to Jason, a sort of right hand man. He is the one who did most of the business deals, including the purchase of the Venu nightclub. Venu is the hangout for Nakamura-Kai. Informants explained when Glenn was murdered, Jason didn't refer to the crew as Tanaka, but rather Nakamura. It seemed now Jason was becoming a control freak and might have wanted Glenn Tanaka dead.
Jason was a wreck after the hit of Glenn, and everyone wondered for a while. Eventually, it was released to the press that Jason Nakamura was caught on satellite strangling and throwing Glenn Tanaka off of the parking garage on Broadway avenue, Glenn's body landed on Bedford Avenue. Jason was in New Bloxton's most high security prison in New Bloxton city for 6 months until being bailed out of jail for a $995,000 bond. After his release the Venu nightclub was rented out to a Russian family for a few years while Jason, Jaylen, and a few others went to Kyoto, Japan. Most likely to apologize for the murder or be killed. In recent years Jason has re-opened Venu nightclub for business, and is now laying under the radar. Numerous new faces have popped up on the EBPD's radar, including minors, women, and thugs all tied to Nakamura. Many arrests have been made recently but nothing incriminating the higher ranks of Nakamura-Kai.
